PROJECT

TESTIMONY

This project holds four poems, written across a season that changed me.

I did not write them all at once.

I could not have.

Each came from a different place along the journey - different depths, different questions, different versions of me. They are markers of where I had been, what I was carrying, and, eventually, who I was becoming.

Together, they trace a journey through darkness and toward light. Through despair, endurance, surrender, salvation, and the slow restoration of hope.

These are my stories.

These are my Psalms.

I share them for the person whose hope has grown quiet.

For the soul crushed beneath the weight of depression.

For anyone who has lost themselves in the abyss of time, wondering how long darkness can last.

I know something about that darkness.

I also know that light finds its way in.

So this is my offering:

to bring light into the shadows,

to leave a lantern where someone else may need it,

to say, you are not alone.

My call is to tell the story.

This is me answering.

YOU GOTTA FEEL YOUR FEELINGS NOT TO FEAR THEM.
YOU GOTTA FEEL YOUR FEELINGS NOT TO FEAR THEM.

This project documents a mental health battle that included depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation.

I wrote this for my own survival.

I share them because I know firsthand how dangerous it can be to feel totally alone.

I hope this inspires the conversation,

“Hey, I see you. I feel you. I’m here.”

I hope one less person feels alone.
